The town only has one main road that goes through it.  One of the most notable structures in Kimberley is the rotunda shaped war memorial monument that is used as an emblem for the Kimberley School.   It is unknown of when the church was actually built, but it has at least been in existence since 1205.  

Airships have been known to fly over Kimberley in the past.  During World War I, a German Zeppelin airship overflew Kimberley during a bombing raid.  In August of 1997, a non rigid airship flew over Kimberley in order to advertise the RAC to the residents of the town.  

The Mansfield Museum was opened in 1904 after William Edward Baily offered his collection and a building to Mansfield.  The museum was housed in what was called the Tin Tabernacle until it needed more space and the present museum opened in 1938.  The museum has been recently focusing on making the museum child friendly, so that it can continue to enhance the cultural lives of the younger generations.  

Bestwood Country Park is located where a busy coal mine used to be.  Visitors can explore the 650 acres as they walk or cycle along the trails or next to the Mill Lakes.  The Bestwood Winding Engine House is located within the park and visitors can see what life was like for a miner.  There are many exhibits available to view and guests can listen to audio commentaries as well.  

On the South side of Kimberley there is an area called Swingate.  This is where people can find numerous walking and cycling trails that go through the woods and the countryside.  

Every year there is a music event that is held in Kimberley that supports the Ryan Lee Trust.
