HISTORY

The parish of Puxton was once part of the Winterstoke Hundred.

Until the reign of Henry VI, Puxton was part of the manor of Banwell which was held by the Bishop of Bath and Wells. After that, ownership passed to St Loe or de Sancto Laudo family where it remained for more than 100 years.
