There are three prominent landmarks in Wickmere. These are the parish church of Saint Andrew, Wolterton Hall, and St. Margaret’s Church. The church of Saint Andrew is a great example of Saxon-Norman architecture. The tower and western wall were built during the Normal Conquest, while the rest of the church was constructed—or restored—much later.

Wolterton Hall was built in the early 1700s from Horatio Walpole. It has been added to and restored throughout the years, to maintain the red brick, update the landscaping, and keep it in good shape. On the grounds of this hall, are the remains of the tower at St. Margaret’s church.
