Croeserw is a small village located in Neath Port Talbot. The name Croeserw is Welsh for “crossing-acre,” and is believed to refer to the road crossings where the Afan and Llynfi valleys meet. The village is named for the Croeserw Farm, which stood in the area during the Elizabethan period. The farm was demolished in 1982 to make way for widening of A4107, though a stone monument has been left to mark the original location.
