Flower Delivery to Bletchley by Clare Florist

Bletchley
is an independent and traditional town in Milton Keynes situated between the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford parish and West Bletchley parish. Bletchley is well known for its Bletchley Park, which was where Britain cordinated the breaking of the German "Enigma" code by Alan Turing amongst others. It is now home to The National Museum of Computing.

Bletchley grew from an obscure hamlet on the Fenny Stratford to a well known town brought about by the arrival of the London and North Western Railway service in 1845. Its expansion continued with the influx of people who were relocated by the Greater London Council. By 1961 its population was about 17,000. More than four times the population it had forty years earlier.

In 1967, when the new city Milton Keynes was founded, Bletchley was one of the major areas in the Plan for Milton Keynes and it would bring some of the greatest changes to the future of Bletchley. Bletchley was the new areas main shopping centre and it thrived very much in the early years of the growth of Milton Keynes. However Bletchleys popularity waned with the building of the Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre as the new shopping centre became more of the areas retail destination in recent years.
