Powick has two bridges that span across the River Teme, and the Powick Bridge is the more modern of the two. It was built in 1837 and made entirely of iron.

Ancient Bridge

Located to the west of the Teme is the ancient bridge that was built before 1447. To ensure its repair, an indulgence of forty days was given to anyone who would provide assistance to the renovation work. In the years 1598, 1604 and 1633, however, it went through significant decay. Today, the ancient bridge has been rebuilt using bricks on the upper part.

Powick Hospital

Among the things that the village is known for, Powick Hospital stands out and for not-so-good reason. Operating as a county psychiatric hospital, the establishment is known for using LSD in mistreatment and therapy of patients. It was finally closed in 1989 and was then demolished. In its place is Collett's Green.

Victorian Power Station

From a water mill came the world’s first electric power station that combined steam and water. The electricity generated powered nearly half of the city of Worcester. The power station operated until the 1950s until it was shut down, and then converted first into a laundry and then residential apartments.

Powick Hams

Located adjacent to the River Teme, the meadow called Powick Hams is the site where the opening skirmish and the closing battle between the Roundhead soldiers and the Royalist of the English Civil War happened.
