Belgrave square

This is the central square in Belgravia. It was one of the most spectacular and largest squares in the 19th century. The square itself and the surrounding area were truly amazing. There were four terraces on it and each of these terraces had private gardens and white stuccoed houses.

St. Peter’s Church, Eaton Square

St. Peter’s church was built in the time when Thomas Cubitt was reshaping the look of London. It was originally finished in 1827, but around 50 years later the area it covered was expanded. In 1987 the church was damaged in a fire and in 1992 it was completely rebuilt and opened. St. Peter’s Church today is used by many celebrities and rich people for their weddings. There are regular concerts performed by the Royal Academy of Music String Orchestra. So, this is the perfect place to be when you are in Belgravia.

Wellington Arch

This is one of the landmarks of London. This triumphal arch was built in near the entrance of the residence of the Duke of Wellington. It was finished in 1830 and it was built as a reminder of the British victory against Napoleon. The bronze sculpture on top of the arch is one of the largest in Europe. There is no doubt that Belgravia is a place worth visiting.
