Gerbera

Send Gerberas with Free UK delivery

Gerbera – A genus of ornamental plants from the family Asteraceae. These large-faced, sunny-feeling flowers are incredibly popular with good reason; their flowers possess a deeply summery warmth which always feels welcoming. A bouquet of gerberas really brings out the space and light in a room.

Gerbera bouquets look like a giant, colourful daisy, and come from the same family as the sunflower. They come in a multitude of beautiful colours, from yellow to red, orange, white or pink.

Gerberas are the fifth most used cut flower in the world; after roses, carnations, chrysanthemums, and tulips.

FAQs

How do I look after gerberas?

Get your stems unwrapped and wash off the hydroponic gel. Trim the stems at an angle and get them into a clean vase of fresh water to give them a good drink. Remember to remove any excess leaves or foliage below the water line; all the water needs to be going to the stems.

Geberas can bend a bit due to the weight of the head. This can be remedied by reinforcing your gerbera stems with a piece of stick or sturdy wire.

Aside from this, the usual flower care tips apply: change the water every few days and keep your flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts and heat sources.

When will the flowers be delivered?

Order flowers before 3pm for next working day delivery. You can also select a future date if you want to plan ahead for a special day. Saturday and Sunday delivery will incur a small surcharge. Your flowers will be delivered before 6pm, or you can upgrade to a pre-1pm delivery for a small surcharge.

How much does it cost to get flowers delivered?

We offer standard delivery to the vast majority of UK postcodes, Monday to Friday, with a small extra fee for weekend deliveries. For some areas, such as off-shore postcodes or the Highlands, there may be a small surcharge on standard prices to ensure next-day delivery where the standard service would take too long.

Can I include a card with the flowers?

You can, yes. Choose a personalised hand-written card during the ordering process.
