Sunflowers

Send Sunflowers with UK delivery

Round, sunny, broad-faced and friendly, these sunflower bouquets will bring the warmth of summer rushing in! The sunflower, also known as the helianthus, is a beacon of rustic charm, evoking thoughts of clear skies, cold lemonade, and freshly-cut hay. Nothing, but nothing, says summer like a sunflower! So what better way to bring the magic of summer into your home than with a fresh sunflower bouquet delivered straight to your door.

So it's not surprising that so many great cultures have loved the sunflower every bit as much as we all do today. Most famously, perhaps, the helianthus was the subject of one of Vincent van Gogh's most famous paintings – simply entitled 'Sunflowers'. This amazing, cheerful flower has also been chosen by many as their symbol, from the Vegan society, to the state of Kansas, to the country of Ukraine!

FAQs

How do I look after sunflowers?

Wash and trim the stems (use a sharp knife or scissors and cut a couple of centimetres at an angle) and then place in a clean vase of cool water. Add the flower food and make sure no leaves or foliage fall below the water line in the vase; remove these if they do. Your sunflowers will prefer cool temperatures and they won't very much like heat sources, drafts or direct sunlight. Removing individual spent leaves will help prolong the lifespan of your bouquet overall.

When will the flowers be delivered?

Order flowers before 3pm for next working day delivery. You can also select a future date if you want to plan ahead for a special day. Saturday and Sunday delivery will incur a small surcharge. Your flowers will be delivered before 6pm, or you can upgrade to a pre-1pm delivery for a small surcharge.

How much does it cost to get flowers delivered?

We offer standard delivery to the vast majority of UK postcodes, Monday to Friday, with a small extra fee for weekend deliveries. For some areas, such as off-shore postcodes or the Highlands, there may be a small surcharge on standard prices to ensure next-day delivery where the standard service would take too long.

Can I include a card with the flowers?

You can, yes. Choose a personalised hand-written card during the ordering process.
