Mother's Day is approaching fast, the day on which we honour the love and respect we feel towards perhaps the single most important woman in our lives. Aside from paying tribute to your own dearly beloved mum this Sunday, you should also maybe consider Mother's Day as a chance to pay tribute to all the mums in your life.
Probably top of this list would be the mother of your own children, especially if your kids aren't quite old enough yet to provide their own Mother's Day gift. The 15th of March gives you a chance to remind her how dear she is to you, especially if you have newborns and this is her first ever Mothering Sunday.
Another mum to take into consideration is your mother-in-law; now is the chance to score some brownie points! Whilst she maybe hasn't had such a huge role in your life as your biological mother, she is part of your family and Mothering Sunday gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your appreciation towards her.
Grandmothers should also be honoured and celebrated as part of Mother's Day. Even if your own mum or dad is organising a gift for your grandmother, it's still nice to make a small gesture at the same time with a card, Mother's Day flowers or chocolates.
So remember, Sunday March the 15th isn't just about your own mum - it's a celebration of motherhood and all mums everywhere! Stay tuned to the Clare Florist blog over the next few days for more articles on motherhood and Mother's Day...
